The beginning of June I got to go visit a friend {Katherine of www.katherinealison.com } in California for a week, and we packed everything possible into that week, including navigating both LA and San Fran traffic, 25+ hours in the car, road tripping up the coast, four days of camping, picture taking, a day at beach, hiking a mountain, the Palm Springs tram way, an afternoon in San Francisco, and topping it off with shooting a wedding the day before I flew out. It was crazy fun! Our travels together are always pretty great, and we end up exhausted but with a lot of good memories and full memory cards ;) Happy Saturday, ya’ll! Read MoreLast week Junction122 hosted a 24 hour prayer, focused on the young adults in five communities: Brainerd, Bemidji, Duluth, St. Cloud and Fargo/Moorhead. I didn’t take many pictures, because of course I was praying ;) but here are a few I snapped with my phone, along with something I wrote up to give people ideas to pray. Keep praying! The five communities we are lifting up make up over 14 percent of the entire Minnesota population. Just those five cities could make a huge impact in our state, it only takes a little salt to season and a small light to break the darkness. “You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt looses its flavor how shall it be seasoned? You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” {Matthew 5:13,14} Prayer suggestions: For salvation and a softening of hearts among the unbelievers in the community and surrounding towns; for boldness and fearlessness among the believers to reach and care for the unbelievers. For a forsaking of flesh, the temptations and pulls of this world and the focus on self, and an increasing desire for the things of God; for an overwhelming hunger and thirst for righteousness, that they would refuse to be conformed to this world. “If…
Read MoreGood morning everyone! I’m doing something special this month, and need your help. Last week a family from our old church’s house burned down. Nothing was salvageable, and the family of 8 doesn’t have much left. I’d like to help them out, so for the month of January, if you book a portrait session all the profits will go towards helping this family! If you, or anyone you know, was thinking about having a family session done… now is the time to do it! If you could pass the word on, that would be awesome. A 2 hour session at the location of your choice costs $185, and includes $50 worth of print credit. {the shoot doesn’t have to be in January, you just have to book/pay for it, but it must be scheduled before May} To book your shoot or for more information, shoot me an email at kelleyjo {at} kelleyjoimaging.com.

Thanks so much for allowing me to be part of you fun day! Enjoy! {I love all the elements in this image… the bride’s look, the sister fixing the veil, and the mother of the groom wiping her tears in the mirror} {The image on the left and the bottom right were taken by my fabulous second shooter Amy, also know as the sister.} {Isn’t this the cutest?! Makes me smile every time!} {Although this one might make me smile just as much as the last one} {No one could find the Father of the Bride when it came time for the parent’s dances, and so they had a little fun when he was finally found… including a spotlight and the Jepordy theme song. hehe}

A gorgeous gorgeous place to have a reception, the night was lots of fun. John is part of a band, so they played for the night and Carol even made a little debut in one song! :) Thanks again, for having me as a part of your wedding celebrations!
