BLOG
I think it’s fun that the first post on my brand new blog is such a special senior… My little brother :) I can’t believe he’s over half way through his senior year, and is making plans to go off to college next year. And, like one of his little swimming girls told me the other day, “Markie has a beard!” Of course we happened to pick one of the windiest days this fall, and it was pretty chilly, but we had a great location and brought along some of the sisters so we had fun despite it all. Thanks for being a good sport, and such a great brother Mark!
Read MoreI used to work for Heather, one of the Stumbo’s daughters, and this year they asked me to take their extend family pictures. I went out the resort the Sams own and got to meet the rest of their family. I loved the colors that they chose to wear, and we couldn’t have asked for better light and weather!
Read MoreAunt Gayle is one of my mom’s sisters, and I have lots of fun memories with this family, including camp-outs in the back yards, sledding down Uncle Kevin’s luge, canoe trips down the river, playing toby for hours, fishing, us girls hiding from the boys ;) and so many others. This year they all were able to make it up to our house for Thanksgiving, and so we took a quick time-out after dinner to shoot a few family pictures. We’re very blessed to have such a great extended family! Love you all!
Read MoreOnce, a long time ago, I traveled to California to shoot a wedding with my friend Katherine of Katherine Alison Photography . It was a super gorgeous day and beautiful wedding, and I thought I’d share a couple of my favorites. You can find more of their images on Kate’s website. {I was enjoying looking at these images even more today given all the snow we have on the ground ;) }

Anthony and Cindy’s wedding was so fun to be a part of, because everything was so them. From the ceremony being at 4:17, to the bridesmaids have clutches made out of ties, or the groomsmen and all their funky sunglasses, the two of them had thought through every detail. The wedding and reception was outside at Cindy’s dad’s property and everyone pitched tents and had fun the whole day! Thank you two again, for choosing me to be part of your special day!
Read MoreThe colors were at the perfect time, and the morning light was gorgeous for this families session. The Prahms live on a lake, and have two adorable children which made this session lots of fun. Thanks for using me for your family pictures!
Read MoreLove the eyes on this senior! They’re such a gorgeous mix of greens and browns. I used to work with Jessica’s mom, but had never met her… so it was fun to get to meet her after hearing her Mom talk about her! :) Thanks for using me for your senior session, Jessica, and being super easy going during your session.
Read MoreI’ve known Angie for a while now, we used to work together… and she still currently works with some of my siblings. I was secretly hoping all year that she would choose me to do her seniors… and guess what? She did! Thanks Angie, for being so stunning and for giving me the chance to do your portraits! I very much enjoyed myself… and the coffee/talks after your session :)
Read MoreThis family. They’re so great! I’ve been blessed to get to document this family since Isaac was just a few months old, this is my fourth session with them. It’s so fun to get to see them grow, and I love spending time with them, hearing all about the new things in their life and sometimes I even get hugs when I leave. I also got the chance to teach them swimming lessons earlier this year, which was even more fun! Thank you, Cole family, for being such a support to my business.. and inviting me back to your home each year! It’s a joy to shoot your family!
Read MoreI met the Lund family one Saturday morning out at their place, and it was gorgeous! Lots of pretty places to take pictures of this family of four. The two little boys were adorable, and had lots of energy. This family definitely seems to have fun together, and I think one of my favorite parts was when Logan was telling me about the crappie he caught the previous weekend {we got some adorable expressions out of that story!}. Thanks for having me out, it was great to meet you all!
