Although all my couples are special to me… this one is just a tad bit more ;)  Being best friends with Derek’s two sisters growing up made him feel like my other little brother, and I felt SO honored that he and Kendra gave me the chance to be a special part of their day.

Six years ago, a 15 year old Derek stood in his sisters room talking to us. We’d all just been to a mutual friends wedding, and were discussing it. As he stared at himself in the mirror, obsessively combing his hair he said, “I’m never gonna get married. I’d have to love that person more than I love myself to marry them… And I love myself a lot.”

Well, despite this barrier, six years later Derek is married… We all know how much he loves himself, so Kendra he must love you an awful lot ;) haha! I love both of you, and it was so special to get to capture the beginning of the “Groebner For Life” story. I can’t wait to see where God brings the two of you.
