This is today’s theme song. So beautiful and happy.“It’s always like spring time with You // making all things new… This is what You do // This is what You do // You make me come alive.”
Kaylee and Anna are 2013 seniors and are both captains on the Brainerd High School Gymnastics team {click on their names to view their portrait sessions}. Before we did their senior sessions, we were able to met at the gym and play around for a while. I’ve been missing shooting sports, since this is my first season in six years that I haven’t shot for the Staples World newspaper, so this was LOTS of fun for me!
I’m just a little excited to start editing the rest of Derek’s senior session. :)
I’ve been fighting shin splints these past few weeks, ever since I did five hours of biking, ran a 5k, swam with 325 children triathletes, swam a 1/2 mile race, and played ultimate frisbee all in one weekend. Smartest idea ever, right? I’m supposed to be training for a 10 mile race in less than four weeks, and I can barely limp through two miles. I sat down this morning to read my bible and I was complaining to God about it. This is the second year I’ve signed up for the 10 mile.. the first year I came down with mono, and wasn’t able to run. So it’s been on my list to conquer for a while. I was really looking forward to it this year. After finishing my griping I opened Jesus Calling and the first thing I read hit me over the head. I had to stop and re-read it… wondering if I was just seeing things, or if that’s what it really said. “Accept each day exactly as it comes to you. By that, I mean not only the circumstances of your day, but also the condition of your body.” {Jesus Calling, September 8th entry} It went on to say more: “Even if you wrongly choose the first alternative (giving up vs. relying on Me),…
Kaylee is a home schooled senior, who is graduating in 2013… like Anna she’s a gymnast and a captain of Brainerd’s team this year (those pictures are coming soon as well!). Thanks for using me, Kaylee! It was fun to hang out and wander around town, even though it was super hot! :)
We did Adam’s senior session around Crookneck Lake, where he lives. Thanks for being such a great sport Adam, even wearing your least favorite shirt for your Mom. :)
Anna and I had a blast wandering all over Brainerd a few weeks ago for her senior sessions; we found lots of fun places and cool light, and she did everything I asked her to :) Even dancing in a random field. Thanks Anna! Anna is a captain on the Brainerd gymnastics team, so the next week we did some portraits at the gym… which will be coming soon! For now enjoy these…
Jordan is a Staples Motley highschool senior, but we decided to do his pictures over at the Crosby mine pit lakes which are gorgeous! Good choice, Jordan. We also had an awesome sunset, which was super fun. Thanks again for using me to do your portraits!
Quick previews from two of my sessions this week.. three more to go! :) {Jordan, Staples Motley High School Senior} {Anna, Brainerd High School Senior}
I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to share the images of this amazing couple. Their wedding day back in June was SO much fun, everyone was so relaxed and chill, and I enjoyed being able to be part of the party! Jose and Katie, you guys are such a comfortable couple and I can tell you guys are totally meant for each other. Thank you again for picking me to be part of your day!
