I’m finishing up the craziness of this summer, and during this all I tend to forget what is most important in life thus getting overwhelmed and tired. God was reminding me of that this morning, and then in my devotional He drove the point home again. “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added onto you.” {Matthew 6:33} “You will not find My Peace by engaging in excessive planning: attempting to control what will happen in the future… I did not design the human mind to figure out the future. That is beyond your capability. I crafted your mind for continual communication with Me. ” {Jesus Calling, by Sarah Young} “Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him.” {Psalm 37:7} {image taken last spring on our family trip to southern Missouri}

I got to go out to her family’s dairy farm for the first part of the shoot, and then we went and found some fun old buildings later as well. Look at those gorgeous eyes, and awesome hair! Thanks for having me shoot your seniors, Donna! Enjoy your images!
Read MoreSince my blog has been solid photo shoots for the last months, I figured I’d take the time to do a personal one. This summer has been crazy! God has been blessing my business, so I’ve been staying busy with sessions. I’m still teaching swimming lessons, which I still enjoy… and I’m finding time to do a decent amount of fun stuff too! This weekend was kind of typical of the summer. In less than 36 hours I ran my PR for a 5k, speared suckers with the bros and a sis, floated the river, swam a 1/2 mile for a triathlon relay team, said goodbye to my sister who is moving to college, and played the last softball game of the season. Nope, I couldn’t move very fast the next day… and I was eating everything I could get my hands on. Wait, I might still be eating that much. haha Anyway, here are a couple of pictures! :) Cuz a post isn’t quite as much fun as without pictures! Happy Friday! Have a fabulous holiday weekend!

I was blessed to get to be the 9th person at the wedding :) These two were so obviously in love, and excited to get married, and it’s always fun to get to experience unique weddings. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to document the two of you becoming Mr. and Mrs. Castellanos!
Read MoreKenzie was yet another gorgeous and fun girl to work with! She is also another Staples Motley Cardinal. Even though we had a couple challenges thrown at us, including her getting elbowed in the lip the day before at her basketball tourney, we had an awesome session and I love how her images turned out. Thank you so much, MacKenzie, for allowing me to be the one to shoot your seniors!
Read MoreKelsey was one of my 2014 Senior Reps, and this was her full session {we did a mini one earlier this year for her rep cards!}. She did such a great job of picking out her clothes, and we found some fun places to shoot her images, and coupled with the awesome light and her gorgeousness we had a great session. Kelsey, thanks so much for working with me… I enjoyed both our sessions together!

Like the light that made for an awesome senior session….. Happy Friday. ya’ll! Enjoy your weekend! I know I will be enjoying mine… Shooting a wedding, and attending my family’s reunion :)
Read MoreLaura is a friend and fellow photographer of mine, and I got the chance to shoot her extended families pictures this past week. It was fun to meet the rest of her family, and I loved seeing their relationships. Each of the three couples had such cute interactions with each other, and I can tell as a whole their family really enjoys each other. Laura’s sister Erica and her husband Tony are moving across the country soon, and so it was a chance for them to get pictures all together before life changes! We finished the portrait session out with a bonfire and s’mores, something their family has been doing together lately. Lots of fun! Oh, and you can’t forget Remy, their cute little poodle :) Thank you guys for using me for your family pictures, enjoy! P.S. Check out Laura’s photography at http://www.lauraradnieckiimages.com/
