Give me allllllll the surprise proposal photos, please!!! Despite the fact that I was sweating buckets because I was so nervous and didn’t want to be the one to mess it up, this was a blast! Lucas did a great job planning this whole thing; while on vacation with Maddy’s family, he was able to sneak her away for a walk at Grandview Lodge where I was waiting, and managed to surprise her (exhibit A… see photos below). Congratulations you two!! I’m so thankful you let me be part of this special day!
Also… these two. SO cute. And happy. And in love! Exhibit B… also see photos below!
Seriously. I told Lucas this when he contacted me, but my hubby did this for me when we got engaged, and they’re some of my absolute favorite pictures. The moment goes by so fast, and especially if you’re completely surprised, it’s like a whirlwind. It’s so fun to be able to look back my own surprise proposal photos and remember those emotions.
Guys… if you’re planning to ask your lady to be your wifey… let’s chat. Give her a fiancé, a pretty rock, AND some super emotional photos!
These first two photos are from when I told her I was doing a “promotional shoot for Grandview and they wanted to make sure we had some of guests”… The third photo is when Lucas wouldn’t look at the camera “Luke, she’s trying to take a picture!”
This brewery engagement session was so fun! We started out at Fritz Loven Park, with gorgeous light (and a few mosquitos! ha) and ended our evening at Gull Dam Brewing where we were entertained by live music while shooting super cute pictures! John and Kayla were not only super easy to work with, they’re also the kind of couple that are super easy to chat with. After my time with them for their engagement session, I’m so excited to shoot their wedding at Grandview Lodge in just a couple months!
Also, did ya’ll know that Gull Dam has live music every Friday and Saturday evenings?! Perfect backdrop for a brewery engagement session, but it’s also a fun date night or girls night too!
John and Kayla, thank you so much for not only hanging out with me for the evening, but for allowing me to be a part of your upcoming wedding! I can’t wait to celebrate with you two, as you become Mr and Mrs!
P.S. If you’re engaged and want to have a fun brewery engagement session (or honestly any other fun location!) let’s chat! I’d love to have some fun and get to know the things that make you as a couple unique! Shoot me a message on my contact page with your ideas!
Andrew and Katie got married on a perfect fall day, and had such a fun reception at his family’s place. These two are one of those couples that makes everyone around them smile. From all the sweet happy tears, to Katie signing Andrew a song at the reception, this day was a joy to be part of!
Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Switzer, for letting me be there on your special day!
I feel like I write the same words for every senior session this year… but I was really blessed to have so many fun ones! And, Nathan was no different. I love getting to capture this part of a persons life, and it’s even more fun when they allow me to capture things that are special to them, like their sport careers.
Thanks for letting me shoot your senior pictures, Nathan! Good luck with the last few weeks of this year, and in your next endeavors!
Going back over all my senior sessions from last year, and I’m enjoying looking at all the fun times I had with these kids! James was no different, we had fun at the ball field, and had some awesome fall colors.
Good luck with the remainder of your senior year, and after graduation, James!
I think my favorite thing about engagement sessions, is that they give me a glimpse into how much fun the couples wedding is going to be, and then I have a bunch of time to look forward to it!
Mike and Melissa…. let’s just say I’ve been counting down the days until these two get hitched. June 2nd could come a little faster ;) I can’t wait!
